I’m trying to watch Tree of Life.

I’m about 15 minutes in and it’s already insufferable.

  1. ephemeraetcetera said: I liked that movie and thought it was really beautiful. It stuck with me and made me feel things, like cinematic poetry. That said, I don’t ever want to see it again.
  2. almost-never said: My ex made me go see that in the theatre and then we broke up a week later. I’m not saying that the two events were related, but I’m not saying they weren’t, either.

  4. -ashleychristy- said: I was told you had to approach it as a piece of art, not a movie. They said not to look for a plot, just look at how pretty it is and how great the acting is. I am pretty sure I shouldn’t watch it. I know myself too well.
