Thanks for the tips, ladies!
It’s like Tumblr is the big sister I never had!
It was easier than I expected, but I still have some stuff to practice. The ends, mostly. Those are a bit of a mess. And my hair is suuuuper frizzy (too much color, I’m sure), so I got it dry but it didn’t look pretty. I doused it with Oscar Blandi jasmine mist though (thanks, Birchbox!) and that fixed it mostly right up. That stuff is magical. Next time I’ll use a serum based frizz fighter instead of the Ouidad gel I have, because now that I think about it, that’s specifically aimed at curls.
I really, really love the new brush, though, so if you’re in the market I heartily endorse Spornette’s porcupine brush.
